The 2022 Jeep Compass debuts with a new premium design and all-new interior packed with advanced safety features. Jeep has delivered a vehicle packed with two 4×4 systems and all new connectivity for a great entry price point. It has the most available safety features in its class and will arrive in dealerships this fall.
2022 Compass Sport
The 2022 Jeep Compass Sport has a new design loaded with features with a starting price of $24,995 for front-wheel-drive, and $26,495 for 4×4 models. All trims feature icon exterior Jeep craftsmanship and standards. The front view has a modern fascia, new grille and restyled slim LED headlights.
On the interior, the Sport trim has more space providing double the storage capacity and accentuated the next-generation technology upgrades. Even the drivers view has a new aesthetic, with a redesigned instrument panel and slimmer HVAC vents. The new layout gives the driver better accessibility. The Sport model features the Uconnect 5 system with a standard 8.4-inch touchscreen. This is the largest standard entry-level touchscreen in its class. The new Uconnect offers a one-touch Home Screen, five user profiles, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Sports models now offer USB Type A and Type C ports in the front row, allowing devices to charge much faster. The second row offers passenger the standard option USB Type A charging port.
Looking at all the new standard safety features, even in the Sport model, it’s loaded. It includes Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with active brake and pedestrian/cyclist detection, Active Lane Management with LaneSense Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist, Advanced Brake Assist, Blind-sport Monitoring with Rear Cross Path detection, LED reflector headlamps, Hill-start Assist and ParkView rear backup camera with active grid lines. These are features normally available exclusively in top trims at a much higher price point, but the Compass managed to pack it all in.
The Compass Sport is available in front-wheel drive, but the 4×4 is the standard way to buy a Jeep of any kind. The Sport 4×4 model uses the Jeep Active Drive system providing up to 100% of the torque to the rear wheels, to grip any low-traction conditions. Utilizing the Jeep Selec-Terrain system, drivers can chose from three modes: Auto, Snow, Sand/Mud. This feature gives the Jeep Compass Sport the best four-wheel-drive performance and capability on and off the road in any seasonal weather condition.

The Compass Sport standard engine is the 2.4-liter Tigershark four-cylinder with 177 horsepower, 172 lb-ft of torque paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission in the 4×4 models or six-speed automatic in the 4×2 models. Compass 4×4 models also have a class-exclusive fully disconnecting rear axle and power-transfer unit (PTU) to enhance fuel economy.
The Jeep Compass Sport has standard 16-inch allow wheels with all-season tires, heated and power adjustable mirrors, roof rails, steering wheel with audio control and six-speak audio system.
2022 Compass Latitude
The Latitude continues to build on the Sport model with a starting price on the front-wheel drive at $26,525, and four-wheel-drive at $28,025. The interior of the Latitude gets premium cloth/vinyl seats, premium wrapped steering wheel, leather shifter knows and ambient interior lighting. Wheels bump up to 17-inch painted aluminum as a standard feature, plus automatic headlamps, cornering front fog lamps, power Gloss Black mirrors with a heating element, body color handles and remote proximity keyless entry (this feature is a must have for most people).
Adding to the already impressive safety features, the Latitude includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist and 360-degree surround view camera. The Compass Latitude also gets a fan favorite with the rain-sensing/intermittent wipers, plus power seat adjusters, heated front seats, new wireless charging pad, second row gets the USB Type C port, nine-speaker Alpine sound system, remote start system, dual-pane panoramic sunroof, universal garage door opener and hands-free, and foot-activated power liftgate.
If you like the ‘black out’ look, the Latitude has an optional Altitude Package starting at $28,020 for the 4×2 model, and $29,520 for the 4×4 model. The Altitude Package includes 18-inch Gloss Black aluminum wheels, Neutral Grey and Gloss Black exterior accents and badging, black roof, bright exhaust tips, premium vinyl/cloth seats in black with Light Tungsten accent stitching, Piano Black interior accents and black headliner.

2022 Compass Latitude LUX
The Latitude LUX 4×4 is a new trim for the Compass for the 2022 year. It has a starting price of $29,995 with next level comfort and luxury. It comes standard with Active Drive 4×4 system, the Selec-Terrain system and 18-inch aluminum painted Satin Carbon wheel with all season tires.
The interior is packed with upgrades, it comes standard with leather, heated front seats, leather-wrapped heated steering wheel, remote start and security alarm. The Latitude LUX trim introduces the 10.1-inch digital Uconnect 5 touchscreen infotainment system. Other available features for the Latitude LUX include premium LED tail lamps, auto-high beam headlamp control, LED auto high-beam projector headlamps, and premium LED fog lamps.
2022 Compass Trailhawk
The Trail Rated 4×4 model has a starting price of $31,395, and adds Jeep Active Drive Low 4×4 system. This builds on the Jeep Active Drive system and gives a 20:1 crawl ratio and low range for 4×4 Trail Rated capability. It also adds the Selec-Terrain Rock mode, a 1-inch factory lift to deliver 8.6 inches of ground clearance, 19 inches of water fording, steel skid plates, red front and rear tow hooks, 17-inch aluminum wheels and all-season performance tires. It also includes the Hill-descent Control allowing drivers to control speed down steep grades without the need for throttle or braking. The exterior of the Trailhawk has a new signature red and black anti-glare hood decal, a new upper fascia with a matte black grill and rugged “Jeep Teeth.”
This Trailhawk trim features another first timer with heated second row seats. Advanced safety features, adding onto the already loaded previous models, include Highway Assist giving hands-on-wheel and eyes-on-road automated driving, and Traffic Sign Recognition that displays speed limit information.
2022 Compass Limited
The Compass Limited 4×4 model starts at $31,395, and it debuts a new Black and Steel Grey interior with wrapped Sepia accents. The driver and front passenger door trim panels have contrast stitching matching the Steel Grey seats. It comes standard with a leather wrapped, heated steering wheel with Satin Chrome Silver accents, luxury leather heated front seats, illuminated front map pockets and door handles and rear view auto-dimming mirror. On the exterior, the Limited has 18-inch aluminum diamond cut wheels with Gloss black pockets, Bright Chrome and Silver painted accents, Gloss Black roof, and Bright Chrome roof rails.
The Compass Limited, equipped with the optional High Altitude Package, starts at $33,990. It adds Neutral Grey and Gloss Black exterior details, black roof, body-color painted front and rear fascia and painted side flairs, full suite of premium LED lighting and 19-inch Satin Granite Crystal aluminum wheels. Inside, the High Altitude gets leather seats in black with Tungsten accent stitching and Piano Black interior accents, black headliner, reversible cargo mat, and dual-pane panoramic sunroof.
