Some exciting news from Stellantis, they are beefing up the light-duty line with adding a 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie G/T and 1500 Rebel G/T. This addition really solidifies the Ram lineup, helping them keep their accolade as North America’s off-road and performance leader. Standard features on these models include: a cold-end exhaust, cold-air intake, paddle shifters, console-mounted performance floor shifter, and performance pages.
Both Ram G/T options feature a sport performance hood, trim specific decals, factory-installed Mopar cold-end exhaust, and Mopar cold-air intake that set it apart from the regular Laramie and Rebel. The performance pages are also a standard feature, helping consumers become familiar with the truck’s performance options. The performance pages app provides access to real-time vehicle performance. That includes timers, g-force, gauges and engine performance. You can also download the information to a USB stick to share.
The Ram 1500 G/T models feature some great options (for not being a TRX model). They have paddle shifters, a console-mounted performance shifter and a metal pedal kit, giving both trucks an aggressive and sporty feel. Plus, the trucks have bucket seats with the G/T logos and Mopar all-weather mats. Not only are you getting additional performance, but some Mopar upgrades too.
Mike Koval Jr., Ram Brand Chief Executive at Stellantis, commented: “Ram has a strong history of performance trucks and the Laramie G/T and Rebel G/T models add to that while expanding the light-duty lineup with the segment’s best combination of performance, capability, luxury and technology. Ram 1500 G/T buyers will enjoy this combination of performance and luxury that the newest additions to our versatile lineup offer.”
The trucks are available in a Crew Cab configuration with the 5.7-liter V-8 engine with eTorque mild-hybrid assist. The starting price for the 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie G/T is $55,480. The 1500 Rebel G/T Both model has a starting price of $55.375. Both will be available to purchase in the third quarter.
