Jeep Brand celebrates 80 years with a big move towards electrification. The journey began on July 15, 1941, when the former Willys-Overland Company signed a contract with the U.S. War Department to begin production of the first Jeep vehicle. Now the brand is celebrating 80 years by creating a product lineup designed for the future. Jeep is dedicated to utilizing their 4xe technology for creating a community of global customers.
“We’re celebrating our 80th anniversary by continuing to move upward and forward. We’re expanding our portfolio into new segments, with the three-row Jeep Grand Cherokee L, while setting a strong foothold in the premium SUV market, with our all-new Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer. Next in our exciting global product pipeline is the introduction of the all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee, which will be equipped, for the first time, with plug-in-hybrid 4xe technology. We are fully committed towards a vision of zero emission future, and by 2025 we will be offering a zero-emission fully electric Jeep 4xe in every segment,” committed Christian Meunier, Jeep Brand Chief Executive Officer.
This is a time of celebration for Jeep, a time to honor this zero-emission movement. To do that, the Jeep brand posted on their YouTube channel the 80th Anniversary version of the Jeep Electrified video. Jeep weaves the story of the evolution of the brand through a couple’s love story. The video captures the message through different Jeep vehicles, future technology and the community to create a promise for the future. The video features Bastille’s “Give Me the Future.”
