Demon Powered 2020 Jeep Gladiator sells for $198,000?

At the Barrett Jackson’s 2020 Fall Auction at Scottsdale in October, there were 442 vehicles on the No Reserve docket. Of those 442, the supercharged V-8 powered 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon was number nine for top vehicle sale price at $198,000. WHAT??? (Fun Fact: The 2018 Ford GT was number one at $1,210,000.) I think any of us gear heads drop our jaws at a big V-8 840-hp Demon crate engine swap, especially when Jeep doesn’t offer any V-8 options from the factory. This limited-edition crate engine has been recently used in the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon which is currently the most powerful, fastest production car ever.

Can it get better? The answer is yes! This build even has a modified Hellcat engine with a larger supercharger. Originally from the factory, this Jeep has 285 horsepower and 260 pound per feet of torque when built with the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6. However, if you opt for the diesel V-6 engine you get 260 horsepower and 442 pound per feet of torque. If you are spending $200,000 on a Gladiator, you probably aren’t too concerned about the fuel economy of your boss engine.
